The prehistoric village of Torre d’en Galmés (Alaior)

Torre d’en Galmés is the largest and best preserved talaiotic village of the Balearic Islands, which explains why it has undergone many archaeological excavations over the years.

During our walk we will visit its three talaiots, which are massive stone structures that still tower over the landscape 3,000 years after being built.  We will go on to see what everyday life was like in prehistoric Minorca by visiting the village’s dwellings-places, especially the magnificently well-preserved Cartailhac enclosure.

Our tour will end with a stroll around the village’s natural surroundings where we will discover some of Minorca’s hidden archaeological treasures: the Roques Llises dolmen and the mysterious Comerma de Sa Garita structure.
