The route of the greater prehistoric villages: Torralba d’en Salort – Mahón

This hike will take us along old country roads to visit some of the most emblematic sites on the southeastern part of the island.

We will set off from the prehistoric village of Torralba d’en Salort, where we will admire its spectacular taula.  From there we will head towards Talatí de Dalt to visit some of the best-preserved architectural remains of Minorcan prehistory and enjoy its idyllic surroundings.

Then, as we make our way to Mahón we will be visiting Torelló to admire the prehistoric talaiot and the early Christian mosaic floor, which is all that is left of the basilica that once stood there. Our last stop will be at the great talaiot in Cornia Nou, a site which is currently being excavated.

We highly recommend wearing a hat, sun cream and comfortable shoes, and bringing a rucksack.
